This role, as part of the
Global Business Development team
, supports regional Sales organizations across
EMEA and other priority markets
and actively shapes the
go-to-market strategy
for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The position focuses on market development, commercial structuring, and deal support and
reports directly to the VP Strategy, Business Development & Product Management
.
Tasks – What to expect from us:

Actively contribute to the definition, refinement, and execution of the global and regional go-to-market strategy for BESS
-
Identify and develop new market segments, applications, business models, sales channels, contracting, and delivery models , aligned with strategic priorities

Analyze market fundamentals and perform market and customer segmentation by region and application; support regional and application-specific go-to-market plans

Plan and coordinate marketing activities jointly with Sales and Marketing, including value propositions, reference projects, messaging, and market-facing materials

Engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders at both commercial and regulatory / policy level to enable market entry and growth

Conduct techno-economic modeling of BESS use cases (e.g. grid services, renewables + storage, peak shaving, microgrids, capacity markets)

Capture customer commercial, technical, and application requirements to shape competitive, bankable solutions

Provide structured input to Product Management on customer needs, regulatory requirements, and market-driven feature or roadmap gaps

Support and, where mandated, lead commercial and technical negotiations with customers and partners

Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company’s BESS platforms and offerings; provide technical-commercial guidance to sales teams, including solution configuration and costing

Collaborate closely with sales engineering, product management, finance, legal, and execution teams to ensure scalable and executable deal structures
Qualifications – Who we are looking for:
Experience & Background
-
5+ years of experience in the energy, power, or infrastructure sector, preferably with exposure to BESS, renewables, or grid technologies
-
Strong understanding of energy market fundamentals , investment drivers, and regulatory frameworks, with a focus on EMEA markets
-
Experience working with utilities, IPPs, developers, EPCs, or engineering firms is a strong advantage
Skills & Capabilities

Strong analytical skills, including experience building and maintaining techno-economic or financial models

Solid understanding of commercial contracts and technical requirements in complex infrastructure projects

Ability to structure and communicate complex technical-commercial topics clearly to senior internal and external stakeholders

Strong presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Education & Personal Attributes
-
Master’s degree in Business Administration or a comparable discipline - additional engineering/technical background of advantage
-
Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization
-
Willingness to travel internationally as required
-
Fluency in English required; additional European languages are an advantage.
